Drawing Diary – Students’ Biennale•4th Edition

Drawing Diary

Drawing is one of the most fundamental modes of visual production. By being the blueprint of creative thought, it remains unmasked and is often raw in its appeal. In temperament and character, it shares the elements of writing until a point arrives in visual practices when drawing becomes like a surrogate of speech. Complex mark-making practice that depict layered visual formats of chaotic spaces, foliages and floral motifs, figures disintegrating to fine intricate linear designs, abstract architectural layouts and visuals involving streaks of linear lights constitute The Drawing Diary, which reflects on the practices oscillating between the ideas of drawing, diagram and visual writing.
