In this photo essay, I tried to explore and experience how it feels to be in a space, once filled with memories and belongings of people who lived or worked there. I felt the absence of human life and everything was so still and calm, as if time had stopped there while the world moved on. These places still exist among us in the new world, standing alone, decaying or awaiting a slow death. These structures, once so imposing and alive with human activity are now falling apart and soon will cease to exist. The clamour of these spaces has been replaced by silence and what remains is the whisper of the broken structure.
